We’ll be seeing a new primary sponsor for select races for Clint Bowyer’s No. 15, as well as Michael Waltrip at Talladega and the 2016 Daytona 500.
Michael Waltrip Racing and Maxwell House announced this morning at Texas Motor Speedway a partnership which names the coffee maker as primary racing sponsor for five Sprint Cup races during the 2015 season and the Daytona 500 next February. The sponsorship deal begins August 2 with the Pennsylvania 400 at the Pocono Raceway.
MWR No. 15 driver, Clint Bowyer Bowyer the Maxwell House Toyota at Watkins Glen International, Pocono Raceway, Martinsville Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway in the second half of the 2015 season. Michael Waltrip, will have the Maxwell House paint scheme at Talladega Superspeedway in October and in the 2016 DAYTONA 500 at Daytona International Speedway. It’s unclear at this point whether Waltrip will run the pair of races in the No. 55 or a third MWR car specifically for those races.
Waltrip drove for a Maxwell House sponsored car back in 1989 and said it’s special to have then back for Talladega this year, but especially for next year’s Daytona 500.
